Parkinson's
Building a Daily Routine That Works With Parkinson's
Parkinson's responds to rhythm. The brain that struggles with spontaneous movement does much better when the day follows a predictable pattern.
Anchor the day around medication timing — late doses cause unnecessary 'off' periods. Pair morning meds with a light protein-aware breakfast, schedule gentle movement (chair yoga, tai chi, water aerobics) during peak 'on' time, and protect rest in the early afternoon.
Social engagement matters as much as physical exercise. Isolation accelerates both motor and cognitive decline. Programs that combine movement, conversation, music, and meals (like Program A) hit every lever at once.
Always coordinate with your neurologist before changing routine, medication, or exercise intensity.
