About Us

A family-driven vision for senior care.

Boca Raton Adult Day Care Center is a non-medical social adult day care center proudly serving Boca Raton and Palm Beach County — dedicated to compassionate daytime support, meaningful engagement, and a welcoming environment for seniors and adults with supportive needs.

Who We Are

Care is more than a service — it is a relationship built on trust.

We understand that caring for a loved one can be one of life's greatest responsibilities. Families often balance work, caregiving, medical appointments, and the emotional demands of supporting aging parents, loved ones with memory challenges, or adults who benefit from additional supervision and social connection.

That understanding is at the heart of who we are.

Boca Raton Adult Day Care was founded through a family-driven vision rooted in compassion, dignity, and community. We believe seniors and adults with supportive needs deserve more than supervision — they deserve companionship, encouragement, meaningful engagement, and a place where they are treated with kindness, patience, and respect.

At the same time, caregivers and families deserve support and peace of mind. As a non-medical social adult day care center, we provide supervised daytime programming designed to encourage social interaction, cognitive stimulation, wellness-focused activities, and daily engagement in a safe and structured setting.

Our leadership has witnessed firsthand the realities many caregivers face while supporting loved ones experiencing aging-related challenges, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and changing care needs. Those experiences shaped the foundation of our center and strengthened our commitment to creating an environment where both participants and caregivers feel supported.

The Father & Son Story

Two generations. One promise to families.

Boca Raton Adult Day Care Center was built through the shared vision of a father and son who understand caregiving not only through professional experience, but through personal life experience and family.

This center was not created from a business idea or market opportunity. It was created from lived experience, compassion, and a genuine desire to help families facing some of life's most emotional and demanding seasons.

For Rodney Nicolas and Juvanni Lafleur, caring for seniors and supporting families is deeply personal. Rodney witnessed firsthand the impact of Alzheimer's disease and dementia through his grandfather's condition. He watched his mother step into the difficult and often overwhelming role of caregiver and saw the worry, exhaustion, sacrifice, and love that often accompany caring for someone whose needs continue to grow over time.

That experience left a lasting impression — a deep understanding that caregivers need support too, and that families often struggle to find safe, compassionate, and dependable daytime options that allow them to care for their loved ones while still managing work, responsibilities, and life.

Juvanni's journey toward senior care was shaped through his own healthcare experience and his desire to serve individuals who need compassion, patience, and dignity during vulnerable stages of life. Working alongside patients and families reinforced his understanding that quality care is not only about services — it is about human connection, trust, and creating environments where people feel valued and respected.

Together, father and son recognized a growing need within the community. Families weren't just looking for supervision — they were looking for:

Safety
Compassion
Structure
Engagement
Trust
Relief & Peace of Mind

They wanted a place where loved ones could remain socially engaged and supported, while caregivers could breathe, work, rest, and know their family member was spending the day in a safe and caring environment. That vision became Boca Raton Adult Day Care Center.

Their goal was never simply to open another facility. It was to build a place that feels welcoming, respectful, and community-centered — where seniors are treated with dignity, families feel heard and supported, and caregiving is met with compassion rather than judgment.

You do not have to navigate caregiving alone. We understand the journey, and we are here to support it with compassion, respect, and heart.

Operations & Program Development

Rodney Nicolas brings decades of experience in healthcare operations, technology leadership, military service, business development, and entrepreneurship to Boca Raton Adult Day Care. His professional and personal journey reflects a lifelong commitment to leadership, service, family, and building organizations that create meaningful impact within the communities they serve.

A proud United States Army Infantry veteran, Rodney developed his foundation of discipline, accountability, teamwork, and leadership through military service. His time in the Army helped shape the values that continue to guide him today — the belief that protecting and serving others should always be grounded in compassion, integrity, structure, and respect.

A longtime Boca Raton resident, Rodney earned his degree in Management Information Systems from the University of South Florida, combining technology, business strategy, and systems leadership with a passion for innovation and organizational development.

Before becoming an entrepreneur, Rodney built an accomplished career in healthcare technology and executive leadership. He spent approximately 17 years with Ascension Health, one of the nation's largest Catholic healthcare systems, where he advanced through progressive leadership roles in Information Technology and Project Management. During his years with Ascension Health, Rodney helped lead healthcare technology initiatives, operational systems, and enterprise-wide projects designed to strengthen infrastructure, improve efficiency, and support healthcare delivery. His background in IT Project Management allowed him to oversee complex systems, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and implement operational solutions that supported both healthcare professionals and patient care environments.

Through years of dedication and leadership, Rodney later advanced into Vice President-level Information Technology leadership, where he helped oversee technology strategy, operational systems, and healthcare infrastructure within a large, mission-driven healthcare organization. His experience working within a Catholic healthcare system strengthened his belief that operational excellence and compassionate service must work together to effectively support patients, families, and communities.

Rodney later transitioned into entrepreneurship, where he successfully developed and operated businesses across healthcare, franchising, and community-focused services. Throughout his career, he has owned, partnered in, or helped develop:

  • Three integrated pharmacies and healthcare clinics serving Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach County
  • An ABA clinic focused on behavioral and supportive services
  • Three Subway franchise locations in Palm Beach County, including Gateway Boulevard, Delray Beach, and Okeechobee Boulevard
  • Multiple healthcare and service-based ventures focused on operations, leadership, and community impact

These experiences provided Rodney with extensive knowledge and hands-on leadership in:

  • Healthcare operations and administration
  • Business ownership and development
  • Technology systems and infrastructure
  • Staffing and team leadership
  • Regulatory and operational oversight
  • Strategic planning and organizational growth
  • Patient and customer experience
  • Systems management and operational efficiency
  • Community-centered service and business development

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Rodney is a devoted husband of more than 25 years and proud father of four children. Family remains at the center of his life and leadership philosophy, shaping the values of compassion, responsibility, stability, and support that guide both his personal and professional decisions.

His passion for adult day care and senior services is deeply personal. Rodney witnessed firsthand the impact of Alzheimer's disease and dementia through his grandfather's condition. He watched his mother step into the demanding role of caregiver and experienced the emotional, physical, and daily responsibilities caregiving places upon families. Seeing someone he loved decline while watching his mother carry the burden of care gave him a profound understanding of the sacrifices caregivers make and the support families often need — but often struggle to find.

That personal experience became one of the driving forces behind Boca Raton Adult Day Care. Today, Rodney has partnered with his son to help build a center designed not only to support seniors and adults with supportive needs, but also to provide caregivers with relief, reassurance, and peace of mind.

His vision is to create more than a facility — it is to build a compassionate, structured, and welcoming environment where seniors are treated with dignity, patience, respect, and meaningful engagement, while families gain confidence knowing their loved ones are cared for in a safe, enriching, and professionally guided setting.

For Rodney, Boca Raton Adult Day Care represents more than a business venture. It reflects a lifelong mission grounded in service, leadership, healthcare experience, entrepreneurship, family values, and the belief that every individual deserves to age with dignity, purpose, and compassionate support.
